From our beautifully restored Georgian Guest House to the Medieval Vicars’ Hall, there is something to suit all styles of events set against the extraordinary back drop of the 900 year old Cathedral.

4 Canon Lane

4 Canon Lane, a former archdeaconry, is a beautifully restored eight bedroom guest house situated in the historic Cathedral Close. With three sympathetically decorated function rooms, a peaceful walled garden and views of the Cathedral, this is a delightful venue in which to celebrate your event, private party or wedding reception. The Dresden Room can accommodate up to 40 guests for formal dining and 50 guests for a standing reception.

The Dresden Room

The Dresden Room room enjoys access to a peaceful walled garden, via a spacious conservatory. When 4 Canon Lane is hired for exclusive use a bar can be provided in the Bonhoeffer Room and dancing can take place in the Dining Room. The Dresden Room can accommodate up to 40 guests for formal dining and 50 guests for a standing reception.

Vicars’ Hall

Vicars’ Hall is a unique and historic banqueting venue with its original features and exposed roof timbers. The Hall can accommodate up to 80 guests for formal dining and 120 guests for a standing reception.
